to Jaipur

the City Palace

of the Winds,
and the Jentar
mantar Observatory,
constructed
to measure
'the harmony
of the heavens.'

dear to Hindus
as they believe
their fated
souls move
to its rhythms.

: Jaipur to
Fatehpur Sikri
|
|
Your
drive to Emperor
Akbar's deserted
city Fatehpur
Sikri, an
almost perfectly
presserved
400-year-old
moghul capital.
After admiring
its palaces
and pavilions
we suggest
lunch at the
nearby Bharatpur
bird Sanctuary
before continuing
to Fatehpur
Sikri.

04 : Fatehpur
Sikri to Agra
|

Drive
to Agra. On
arrival check
into the hotel.
In afternoon
visit to the
fort in 'Agra'
is a must
since so many
of the events
which lead
to the construction
of the Taj
took place
here. Itmad-ud-daula's
Tomb - The
tomb is of
particular
interest since
many of its
design elephants
overshadow
the Taj. Overnight
at the hotel.

Return
|

After
lunch drive
to Delhi.
Check in hotel.

06 : Delhi
Sight Seeing

A
full day's
sightseeing
in Delhi.
The old city-busting,
packed, atmospheric-will
entertain
you in the
morning with
a visit to
the Red Fort,
the Jama Masjid
and the bazar
of Chandni
Chowk. The
afternoon
will be devoted
to the wide
avenues and
broad vistas
of the imperial
vision of
New Delhi,
visiting the
India Gate
cenotaph and
seeing Parliament
House, the
Secretariat
building and
the President's.
